Emerald Beach Australia

Sometimes I come across photographers in this community whose images just leave me speechless and in awe. Sharyn Coffee is one of those photographers, her work is incredible! Her use of color and angles is extraordinary. She has an eye for beauty that is for sure!

What are you shooting with?
Sony A7rIII, DJI Mavic 2 Pro, GoPro Hero7 Black

Favorite Lens?
Sony 16-35 f2.8 G master

How did you get started in photography?
I started my working life as a photographic printer and photography just went hand in hand with it. That was back in the days of film!
Yellowknife
Santa Monica Pier
Humpback Whale Coffs Harbour
What is your favorite image you have taken and why?
My latest image taken with my GoPro of a Turtle in the Maldives. They are such special creatures and the fact that he was so happy to be near me and allow me to take the photo.

What is your favorite thing to take pictures of?
Landscapes, I love getting out into nature and capturing the beauty of our world.

What is your favorite trip that you have taken?
There are so many it’s hard to name a favorite but if I had to choose I would say Croatia. It has so much to offer with its history, amazing scenery, beautiful waterfalls, National Parks and the prettiest of islands.
Krka Croatia
Plitvice Lakes Croatia
What is the most photogenic place you have been?
This would have to be Canada in the Alberta Region (Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, etc) The National Parks in that area are incredible beyond words.

If money were no object where would you travel to and why?Antarctica, I would love to see the scenery and the wildlife there. It would be a lifetime experience.

What is your travel itinerary for the next year?
October New Zealand for a short trip, October-November Australian road trip from South Australia to Perth, March-April Japan, later in the year somewhere else but not sure yet, maybe Tonga to swim with the whales or Iceland to see the waterfalls. Different I know but I’m open to seeing different things.

Do you have any travel or photography tips?
Plastic shower caps make for a great camera rain/dust cover. They are light, cheap and can be stretched over most cameras. It’s great to be prepared for any type of weather when traveling and it’s best to travel as light as you can.
Maldives Overwater Villas
Marina Bay Singapore
When you are not traveling, what can we find you doing?
I am a full-time worker but am prohibited from disclosing what my job is. Intriguing I know!!

Tell me something random about you-
I really dislike anchovies.

Do you have any photography or travel goals?
Oh yes, travel more and photograph more. Who doesn’t want to do that right?

Any special projects you are working on (photography or otherwise)?

Just my blog, I’ve built my website from scratch myself without any experience in it. I think I’ve done a good job!! I’m slowly adding blog posts to it so that’s what I’m working on. I would love for you to check it out www.adventurewithcoffee.com

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

TRACI-9

Since my childhood, I have had a love for all things French. My French ancestry is deep in my heart, and as a former French teacher, I have a passion for the regional specialties of France. I love discovering the local flavor, and I want others to explore deeper than the tourist destinations and experience something more authentic. I propose self-guided itineraries featuring the artisans in the region, as well as unique experiences, restaurants and places to stay. My videos allow artisans to showcase their passion and expertise. I also have an online boutique so we can enjoy artisanal specialties back at home.
