Why did you choose this destination?
I love visiting Yosemite because it is one of the most breathtaking natural wonders on the earth. It makes me emotional every time I visit and reminds me of the magnificence of Mother Nature. Fun Fact: Yosemite was designated a World Heritage site in 1984.

How long were you there?
Each Winter I visit Yosemite National Park for 3-4 days in February when crowds are minimal.
What’s the estimated cost of the trip?
The estimated cost of the trip is ~$2500-$3000. This includes hotel, food and gas (4 hour drive from San Francisco). If budget permits, I recommend staying at the Majestic Yosemite Hotel which is a beautiful historic and grand hotel. There are less expensive options too such as the Yosemite Lodge and Curry Village.
Must do attractions?
My top ten things you must do or see when in Yosemite are:
- Visit the quaint Yosemite Valley Chapel
- Walk to Mirror Lake
- Take in the Tunnel View off Route 41
- Sunset at the Cook’s Meadow
- Walk to Yosemite Falls
- Dine in the great dining room of the Majestic Yosemite Hotel
- The magnificent granite masterpieces: Half Dome and El Capitan
- Stop at Bridalveil Falls
- The incredible Valley View
- Time permitting: Snowshoe to Dewey Point or Ice Skate at Curry Village.
Things to know before you go
If you plan on visiting Yosemite in Winter, be prepared to bring chains as they’re required for all vehicles, including 4WD, to get over the mountain passes. Be patient as the weather is unpredictable.
What was your least favorite part of the trip?
Seeing the bear tracks in the snow was my least favorite part…ha ha.
What was your favorite part of the trip?
The highlight of my trip occurred during my last morning when I went out for a morning walk near the Merced River. I was trying to photograph the beautiful stone bridge and saw fresh bear tracks in the snow near the river’s edge. At first, I got anxious but instead of returning, I decided to chance it and got some great shots. I saw a bobcat and a deer that morning so it was definitely worth it!
Make sure you try
The brunch at the Majestic Yosemite Hotel is delicious and such a beautiful experience. The piano player is there each Sunday playing the most beautiful ballads while you dine in the grand dining room.

Capturing beauty in the rhythms of nature, travel and flamenco.
My images mirror my explorative personality and honor my Mediterranean heritage. From local dance studio to beautiful destinations, I am eager to share everyday beauty and the colors of the cultures that inspire me.
While growing up I led a bit of a gypsy lifestyle, since my family didn’t stay in one place very long. I spent each summer away from my school friends in the Adirondack Mountains. When I wasn’t in school or spending time on the lake, I was studying piano.
I earned a degree in fashion design and marketing and then worked a few years as a flight attendant to satisfy my need to travel and experience other cultures before settling into my career in fashion marketing.
My early adventures and love for the Spanish and Italian culture introduced me to tango and flamenco dance, which I study to this day. I currently work in the beauty industry in San Francisco and when I’m not working or traveling, you will find me in a dance studio practicing choreography.
My creative background in design, music, and dance is tied to the colors, the rhythm, and the movement in nature and travel. It is a theme throughout my life and my photography is an extension of this.
